Easy Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 uncooked pizza crust
  • 1 pizza sauce can or jar
  • 1 tablespoon EasyKale®
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 8 ounces feta cheese (use mozzarella or a pizza blend for a cheesier experience)
  • 2 handfuls of baby spinach
  • 6 ounces of kalamata olives

Optional

  • Olive oil

We love making pizza at home because you get to choose all your ingredients! You can keep it healthy and lower-calorie—or you can pile on the toppings and have fun with it. This is also a great project for getting younger kids involved because they can help pile things on the pie.

Directions

  1. Preheat over to 450 degrees or follow the crust’s instructions.
  2. Place the crust on a pizza stone or cooking sheet. Read crust instructions—some recommend a light coating of olive oil.
  3. Cover the pizza crust with a thin layer of pizza sauce and sprinkle with red pepper flakes for a spicy zing.
  4. Add EasyKale® to the sauce and mix it in gently with a spoon.
  5. Now pile your pie with ingredients—for this Mediterranean-style veggie pizza we're adding spinach and kalamata olives.
  6. Add the cheese on top of the other ingredients.
  7. Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and a little browned.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and let cool.
  9. Cut into slices—and enjoy!

A helpful tip:

Like a crispier crust? Put the pizza directly on the oven rack for a nice crunch!
